Al-Hijrah Masjid provides a wide range of Islamic and community services in Birmingham, supporting individuals, families and the wider community. From welfare and personal guidance to education and community facilities, we aim to serve with excellence, compassion and Islamic values.

Applicants must be brothers of good character seeking long-term accommodation. A minimum tenancy period of three months applies. Successful applicants will be required to provide one month's rent in advance together with a security deposit, prior to moving in. All applications are subject to availability and approval.

A member of our team will discuss availability, answer any questions you may have, and arrange a viewing where appropriate. If a suitable room is available and your application is approved, you will be required to complete the tenancy process and pay one month's rent in advance together with the security deposit before moving in.

The foodbank is available to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or temporary difficulty in accessing essential food supplies. We aim to support those within our local community in a dignified and compassionate manner. If you are unsure whether you qualify for assistance, please contact us and a member of the team will be happy to advise.
The Heartlands Foodbank operates every Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Al-Hijrah Centre. Individuals and families requiring support are welcome to attend during opening hours to access assistance and essential food provisions. Whilst we are unable to accept donations of food or other items, we welcome enquiries from those interested in volunteering with the foodbank.

Our halls are available for hire by individuals, community groups, charities, educational organisations, and businesses. All bookings are subject to availability and must comply with the venue's terms and conditions. We reserve the right to decline bookings that are not in keeping with the values and standards of Al-Hijrah.

A member of staff will discuss availability, provide pricing information, and guide you through the booking process. Early enquiries are recommended, particularly for weekends and peak periods.

This service is available to anyone seeking Islamic guidance, advice, or clarification on religious matters. Whether you have questions about worship, family life, personal challenges, or general Islamic teachings, our Imam is available to provide support and direction in a confidential and respectful manner.
You can speak directly with Sheikh Mahmoud Fawzy between 10:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, by calling the number below and selecting the relevant option. If the Imam is unavailable at the time of your call, you may be asked to leave your details so that a suitable time can be arranged for a follow-up discussion.

Our Madrassah is open to children seeking a structured Islamic education alongside their mainstream schooling. Students are taught according to their age and ability, with programmes designed to develop their understanding of the Qur'an, Islamic beliefs, worship, manners, and the Arabic language. Places are subject to availability and may be offered through a waiting list system where necessary.
To register your child, please complete the Madrassah application form or contact the Madrassah office for further information.Once your application has been received, a member of the team will contact you regarding availability, enrolment procedures, and any assessment requirements. Early registration is encouraged due to high demand for places.

The bride and groom must fulfil the Islamic requirements for a valid Nikah, including the presence of a wali where applicable and suitable witnesses. Any required documentation should be provided in advance to ensure the ceremony can be conducted smoothly and in accordance with Islamic guidelines.

We recommend making enquiries as early as possible to ensure availability. Once the necessary details have been confirmed, our team will guide you through the booking process and any documentation requirements.

The 331st Al-Hijrah Scouts Group welcomes young people across a range of age groups. Our sections include Beavers (6–8 years), Cubs (8–10½ years), Scouts (10½–14 years), and Explorers (14–18 years). All volunteers undergo mandatory Scout Association training, including safeguarding training and DBS checks, to ensure a safe and positive experience for every young person.
The 331st Al-Hijrah Scouts Group meets every Sunday from 9:00am to 10:30am during term time at Al-Hijrah Centre. Places are subject to availability, and prospective members may be placed on a waiting list. Youth Circles are open to young people aged 11 to 17. Separate circles are provided for boys and girls to ensure a comfortable and appropriate learning environment. All activities are delivered within an Islamic framework, with safeguarding measures in place and volunteers subject to DBS and safeguarding requirements.
Youth Circles take place every Friday from 7:30pm to 9:00pm during term time. Registration is required prior to attendance and can be completed via Eventbrite using the registration link. New attendees are welcome throughout the year, subject to available spaces.
